In episode 102 of the Better Than Success Podcast host Nicole Purvy talks with 25 year old, credit mechanic Aaron Clarke.
Known as “Philly Credit Mechanic” Credit Specialist, Aaron Clarke, is the founder and owner of Philly Credit Mechanic credit services which helps raise credit scores from 75-200 points in a short timeframe. After being in the Army for 2 years and falling victim to bad credit Aaron dedicated his time into learning the laws and loopholes of credit and applied it to his own credit increasing his score from a 474 to 700 in a year. Aaron now runs the fastest growing credit repair company in the Philadelphia area with almost 1,000 clients with the hopes of repairing credit in a timely manner as well as educating the world about the importance of credit.
How to legally beat the credit reporting agencies & raise your score to position your business for success?
Suffering from being in a lot of debt, Aaron had to figure out a way to make money and repair his credit. Deciding to let someone repair his credit for a high price of $120 a month and noticing after 7-8 months only one thing was changed on his credit report Aaron knew something wasn’t completely correct with the credit agency.
Nicole Purvy asks Aaron “What raised your credit awareness?” Credit Mechanic informs the audience about a hard time of his life when trying to get an apartment and being denied because of his credit score. After feeling embarrassed and being a victim of bad credit he learned how important credit is in the long run. “No matter how much money and you make, no matter how many followers you have or how popular you are, at the end of the day none of that matters when they look at your credit score” -Aaron Clarke. Not knowing anything about credit, Aaron took hours out of his day to go to his local library and study ‘credit laws’. After studying, he was able to master the ‘FCRA’ Fair Credit Reporting Act which lead him to his platform and created the segway to a successful, growing business. Taking his knowledge to the next level, Aaron was able to repair his own credit and thought “I’m kind of good at this” and began to work on family and friends credit to test his business model. Learning that his business strategy was a success and being able to start a business for one of his family members with no credit or money is when he knew he could beat the credit reporting agencies just off of the information he retained while studying.
During this interview, the Philly Credit Mechanic shares the story of his business starting with only a $20 table from Wal-Mart and a couple of monitors to now having a office space in Jasper Studios with some of the cities most successful small businesses.
