I truly believe that how you start your day will set the tone for the entire day. Your morning routine will determine your mood for the morning, which sets the mood for the afternoon, and ultimately your whole day. So the habits you develop when you wake up in the morning dictate how productive or how positive your day will go. This is especially true for entrepreneurs since business owners have to have the discipline to control their business and their environment.
Below are two good habits to develop to get your day going on the right track
1) Pray or Meditate
Praying or meditating is a good practice to exercise because it develops the muscle to control your thoughts. Controlling your thoughts can be a great skill to have when you are in the startup phase of your business because you WILL go through ups and downs. We know that life is not about what happens to you but rather how you react to the things that happen to you. So if the business throws you a curveball then you can use your highly developed skill of controlling your thoughts to not allow it to get you down, rather focus on the solution and move on to positive thoughts.
2) Exercise
Beginning your day with exercise is good because it gets your juices going. It allows the blood to flow to your brain, which can help you to be more focused and be sharper overall.
According to Lifehack.com :
Tim Ferriss wrote in his book The Four Hour Body about an occasion where a group of people were assembled on Richard Branson’s private island to brainstorm growth options for Branson’s Virgin Unite project. Branson was posed with the question, “How do you become more productive?”
Branson leaned back and thought for a second. Then he said, “Work out.”
He said that working out gave him at least four additional hours of productive time every day.
I hope this helps you to start your days while you are on your entrepreneurial journey!
