One of the things that keep entrepreneurs from a strong start is not having the proper branding and supporting marketing collateral.

Yes, having a website is imperative, but more times than you could image you will be in situations where you meet a prospect in person and the only way they will actually look at your company information is if you presented it to them in their face at that very moment.
Let me give you an example…
One time I was on a conference call with two other people. The purpose of the call was for us to figure out how we (BTS) can donate services to a political campaign (one of the people in the call). I asked a question at some point on the call.
The person who was seeking our services, directed me to a page deep on the website for the answer. His response was “oh, that information is on the site, if you go to “about”, then click on “what we do”, and then scroll midway down the page, and so on…”
I’m not doing all that!
If he had this info in an EPK that was designed for donors, then we’d be good. If I had the EPK prior to the call then the call would have been a lot shorter. But im not digging around on your site! I’m not that interested in doing that. Nope, not gonna happen.
Here’s another example…
My one client has a new app that offers very unique services.
Services that are so out of the box, most people couldn’t understand how it works in one meeting.
At this point in their business, most of their customers come from trade shows. They meet face to face. What if after the meeting, they said “go on the site to learn all about it”? Do you think people would do that? Nope!
Instead, they give them a trifold with dope graphics that people can see the benefits of their app right on site. And it converts really well!
Heres the last example, I promise.
Someone I know was trying to raise private money for a large real estate deal. They called me and asked me to come in and sit down to learn about it. I really respected the person and I was already ready to do it based on my believing in them.
BUT….I said, “hey, I dont need to come in for a presentation. Im really busy right now. Im already sold on YOU. Just send me the EPK or information deck so I can look over the details (this wasn’t something you want to put on a website for the world to see).”
They never sent it, I suspect, because they didn’t have it. Oh welp.
